The project promotes the use of the new information technologies within the home and in the neighbourhood, enabling people to share resources, create support networks and develop a strong sense of community, thus promoting face-to-face contact between people in the sector's various public spaces.

This will be done by implanting a fibre-optic network parallel to the traditional telecommunications networks in order to create a great Intranet for the whole neighbourhood.

Also in development is the 'neighbourhood website', a collaborative project involving various bodies in the construction of the digital urbanization of the neighbourhood so that the day comes for people physically to occupy the homes and public spaces there will be a network of digital spaces and services to foment the urbanity of the neighbourhood on the basis of digital applications. This platform will be open to the development of new applications by the residents themselves.
